Icebergs ocean pool is cultural icon at Bondi Beach. With it’s crashing surf, sweeping views of the ocean, it’s a must visit Sydney location.
Located at the southern end of the beach, Icebergs ocean pool in Bondi Sydney is a 50m saltwater pool built on the rocks. It’s possibly the most photographed ocean pool in the world and always attracts visitors all year round.
Opening in 1929, the Club was originally for winter swimmers and life guards who wanted to keep fit over the cooler months.
The Club welcomes all swimmers to the ocean pool for a small fee. There is also a cafe, sauna, change rooms and a pool deck with a stunning view.
Upstairs at the Icebergs Clubhouse you can enjoy inexpensive bistro meals and drinks, with a magnificent view over the beach.
Our local tip
There is a cute little cafe poolside at Icebergs, perfect for coffee or breakfast. You don’t have to pay the entrance fee into the club, just let them know you want to go the to the Crabbe Hole cafe.
